3 Editorial line and fundamental orientation

The platform noocene.org understands itself as an open, public-domain concept register for the cultural-cognitive geological epoch The Noocene and for persons, works, companies and terms that are understood as pioneers or constitutive parts of this epoch. The platform documents in a factual, encyclopaedic style; it pursues no party-political affiliation and stands for freedom of expression, openness to science and an enlightened engagement with the possibilities of artificial intelligence and networked cognition.

5 Copyright and licence

The textual content of the platform noocene.org is, unless otherwise marked, released under the licence Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (Public Domain Dedication). It may be copied, modified, redistributed and used commercially without permission.

Third-party works included (such as references to Wikipedia articles, external websites or bibliographic details) are subject to the respective provisions in force there. Trademark and naming rights of third parties remain unaffected.

6 Liability for content and references

The content of the platform is prepared with care. No guarantee can be given, however, for the correctness, completeness and timeliness of all information. In particular for terms whose reception is still in an early phase, the platform expressly indicates the still open state of discussion at the relevant points.

For the content of external websites linked on the platform, their operators are solely responsible. References to the German-language Wikipedia, to The Digioneer, to publications of scholarly publishers or to further external sources serve an evidentiary function and do not constitute appropriation of that content.

The platform noocene.org is an independent sister platform of the online magazine The Digioneer, run by the same media owner.
